Services of the Molecular Biology Laboratory

This Laboratory provides equipment and advice to research groups on Molecular Biology analysis.

Services of the Sedimentology Laboratory

This Laboratory is a shared-use space that provides equipment and technical support for sediment sample processing. The most common analyses performed are: drying, grain size analysis, OM determination (by titration or calcination), pH determination, removal of OM and carbonates, among others.

Services of the Histology Laboratory

This service provides equipment and technical support for preparing histological slides for light microscopy. In this Laboratory, researchers and fellows can personally carry out their research protocols, or request collaboration from technical staff to perform the work.

Services of the Aquarium Room

This service is dedicated to the maintenance, operation, and general functioning of the Experimental Aquarium Room for common use at Estación Nagera (SAUC). Advice, design and development of bioteriums, experimental work, technological equipment, and cultures of different aquatic organisms.

Field support services

This service assists research groups in field activities in different environments, collection of biological and environmental data, image capture and environmental surveys using drones, generation of digital terrain models and orthomosaics.

Services of the Plant Diversity Laboratory

This service provides advice related to seed studies and biotechnological applications for the conservation and management of ecologically important species, and provides maintenance, reception of new material, and advice on the use of the physical and digital collection of the Herbario Institucional MDQ (Vascular plants, Bryophytes and Algae, https://www.iimyc.gob.ar/iimyc/es/herbario-iimyc/).

Statistical consulting services

This service provides advice on data analysis for institutional projects, and on experimental and sampling design to all IIMyC staff, mainly for initial fellowship or PhD projects. It also offers internal workshops on topics related to statistical analyses requested by IIMyC staff.
